Job Summary:
Join our growing team as an Inventory Control Specialist in the heart of Chicago, Illinois! This role is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and implementing measures to prevent stock adjustments. Your meticulous approach will ensure that our inventory data is reliable, supporting efficient logistics and operational planning. You will work closely with warehouse staff to reconcile physical stock with system records and identify areas for process improvement. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations is essential. Safety is paramount; you must adhere to all Safety guidelines and utilize appropriate PPE . This position may involve some manual Lifting and requires attention to detail. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and errors.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Work with warehouse associates to ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and picking processes.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE .
  • Assist with warehouse organization and efficiency initiatives that impact Logistics .
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed, potentially including tasks involving Lifting .
  • Contribute to a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and apply Safety protocols and use PPE effectively.
  • Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to perform light physical duties, including occasional Lifting .
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
