We are seeking a diligent Material Handler for our busy Atlanta, Georgia warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the facility. This includes receiving incoming goods, verifying inventory, and transporting items to designated storage areas or production lines. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, ensuring their proper use and maintenance. Safety is our top priority, so a thorough understanding and adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE , is mandatory. You will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Accurately record inventory movements and update system records.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE .
- Handle Lifting of heavy items, using correct techniques and equipment.
- Support the overall Logistics operations by ensuring timely material availability.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating various types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion and Lifting .
- Commitment to Safety standards and the correct use of PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
