We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers to arrange pickups. A keen eye for detail is paramount to prevent errors and maintain customer satisfaction. You will be interacting with various departments to gather necessary information and resolve any shipping-related issues. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, particularly concerning safety and handling of goods, is expected. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Verify accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping manifests.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of all outgoing items.
- Adhere to all PPE requirements and Safety protocols.
- Assist with **Lifting** and moving packages as needed, following safe lifting techniques.
- Contribute to overall Logistics efficiency.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and order management systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with shipping regulations and documentation.
- Comfortable with Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including proper use of PPE .
