We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. You will work closely with warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to ensure seamless operations. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within a leading logistics company. We provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety on the job. Heavy lifting may be required as part of inventory verification processes. This role is fundamental to the success of our supply chain operations and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage and maintain inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to track inventory movements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with physical inventory counts as needed.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and inventory management techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
