Our Nashville, Tennessee facility is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of our inventory management processes. This includes conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, implementing process improvements, and maintaining optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse logistics. Your expertise will be vital to minimizing losses and maximizing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and manage inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and recommend adjustments to procurement.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and organization of all inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory best practices.
- Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to optimize inventory flow.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in WMS software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in logistics or supply chain management is essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
