Join our industrious team in Detroit, Michigan, as a Material Handler! This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics network. You will be responsible for moving, sorting, and organizing materials, ensuring that products are in the right place at the right time. Your physical stamina and attention to detail will be key to maintaining efficiency and accuracy within our facility. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, including thorough Safety training and the provision of all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves consistent manual labor, including substantial Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from production or shipping areas using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Sort and organize materials to ensure easy access and inventory accuracy.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures diligently.
- Conduct basic inventory checks as needed.
- Report any damaged materials or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Proficient in manual Lifting of items up to 70 pounds.
- Understanding and adherence to Safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear and utilize required PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Team-player attitude and good communication skills.
