We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee our warehouse operations in Durham, North Carolina. This leadership role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our logistics processes. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for supervising warehouse staff, coordinating daily activities, managing inventory, and ensuring adherence to all Safety regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong organizational skills and a proven track record in warehouse management. You will play a key role in optimizing workflow and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution hub.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse workflows and processes.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations, including proper training on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and emergency procedures.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a productive team environment.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with logistics partners and other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively.
- Understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks when necessary, including moderate Lifting.
- Proficiency in using standard office software and warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to enforcing the use of PPE and maintaining a Safe workplace.
