This position is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished products. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and load/unload materials safely and effectively. The ideal candidate possesses excellent driving skills, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety, and a proactive approach to their work. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also crucial. We adhere to strict safety standards, and all team members are required to utilize appropriate PPE. Prior forklift certification is a must, and experience in a similar role is highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Place and retrieve inventory from storage locations.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety vests and steel-toed boots.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Contribute to meeting warehouse operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including moderate Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations and inventory systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
