In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be essential in maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our facility and ensuring accurate inventory management, supporting our extensive logistics network. The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of warehouse operations, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to operate specialized equipment with precision. This position requires alertness, focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with inventory control and warehouse staff to optimize storage space and ensure timely order fulfillment. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE is paramount. Prior certification and experience on a reach truck are required. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Place and retrieve inventory from high-level racking systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the reach truck and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and accuracy checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Wear required PPE, including safety harness when operating at heights.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Contribute to the overall productivity and success of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck; valid certification required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform duties involving moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of forklift safety and material handling best practices.
