In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and preparing materials for production or shipment. Your expertise is vital to our logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and accurate inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper organization and inventory accuracy.
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse.
- Prepare materials for shipment or production staging.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds.
- Proper use and maintenance of all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent physical condition with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Commitment to wearing and maintaining required PPE.
