We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include receiving, moving, and staging various types of goods, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain. This physically demanding position requires the ability to handle lifting tasks regularly, often up to 50 pounds. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and we provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comprehensive training to ensure your well-being. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials using pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other equipment.
- Stage materials for production, assembly, or shipment.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and use designated PPE.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or safety hazards.
- Follow established logistics procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
