We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in our Portland, Oregon distribution center! As an Order Picker, you will be a key member of our logistics team, responsible for efficiently and accurately fulfilling customer orders. Your primary duties will involve navigating the warehouse to locate specified items, picking them from shelves, and preparing them for shipment. This role demands accuracy, speed, and a good understanding of warehouse layouts. You'll be actively involved in moving products, which includes regular lifting tasks, often up to 30 pounds. Your safety is our top priority, and we provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comprehensive training to ensure a secure working environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Ensure picked items match order specifications precisely.
- Operate hand-held scanning devices to track inventory.
- Use pallet jacks and other equipment to move products.
- Pack items carefully and efficiently for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Meet productivity targets for picking accuracy and speed.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is an advantage.
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks up to 30 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
