Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory accuracy and optimize warehouse operations in our New York City, New York location. This critical role ensures the integrity of our stock, supporting seamless logistics and preventing discrepancies. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating variances, and maintaining precise records. This position requires a sharp analytical mind and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ensuring the correct items are in the right place at the right time is key to our operational efficiency. While direct lifting may be less frequent than in other roles, you must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds when necessary for stock verification or relocation. Comprehensive training on our systems and procedures will be provided, along with all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all storage locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient stock flow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Utilize WMS to track and manage inventory.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and WMS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when required.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and PPE usage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
