We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving, identifying, and processing incoming shipments. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. You will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and manage incoming stock. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and be committed to upholding our high standards of safety and efficiency. This position offers a great opportunity for growth within our company.Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and products from various carriers.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately document all received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including Lifting and moving packages.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
