We have an immediate opening for a skilled Material Handler at our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse and distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to move, stock, and retrieve goods. Your role is critical to maintaining workflow, inventory accuracy, and ensuring a safe operational environment. We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to safety and efficiency in logistics. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the facility.
- Stack and arrange materials in an orderly manner, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording material movements.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Ensure all loading and unloading activities comply with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment operation and maintenance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
