We are looking for experienced Forklift Operators to join our logistics team at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading materials within the warehouse. This critical role ensures the smooth flow of inventory and contributes to the overall efficiency of our distribution operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will be essential in managing our warehouse operations and maintaining a secure and productive workspace. You will be a key player in our supply chain, ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
- Stack and stage materials in designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Move products in and out of racking systems.
- Assist with order picking and replenishment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and efficiency in our logistics hub.
- Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods to support distribution.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards, including the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as needed.
- A responsible and reliable work ethic.
