Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) and other material handling equipment.
- Receive, verify, and store incoming inventory with precision.
- Transport materials efficiently to designated staging areas or production lines.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Perform pre-operational checks on all equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Optimize warehouse layout to improve workflow and accessibility.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding material flow and needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator in a busy warehouse setting.
- Current forklift certification required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform significant lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory control, and safety procedures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
