We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the receiving process. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately logging all received items into our inventory system. This position is critical to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and ensuring that our operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of deliveries against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items in the inventory management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for distribution or storage.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Be prepared for moderate lifting, typically up to 30 pounds.
