Responsibilities: • Ownership of key technical aspects of the Salesforce platform, including custom development, with a bias toward using native functionality and Lightning components • Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, and communicate inherent security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners • Perform technical analysis, level-of-effort estimation, design, development and implementation of applications with necessary customizations and integration • Work with Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components and other technologies to build simple and scalable solutions that support business requirements • Own and maintain the data modelling and data transformation logic using ETL tools to support data workflows across integrated business systems • Troubleshoot code and fix bugs for planned releases and to resolve production issues • Research and find opportunities to utilize Salesforce best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring • Work within an Agile Scrum or Kanban process • Create unit test classes for all development objects in Salesforce • Develop and maintain technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. • Provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch Apex and Salesforce APIs • 5+ years of experience configuring Salesforce using workflows, validation rules, Lightning Flow, sales process setup, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards • In-depth understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce application coupled with good understanding of business processes • Proven database experience writing queries in SQL/SOQL, working with Data Loader, Workbench and ETL tools to perform bulk data updates • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIs • Demonstrated success with at least two Salesforce custom-built applications, including one implementation on the Lightning Experience • Experience building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers • Experience writing business requirements documents • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies such as Scrum • Certified Salesforce Advanced Administrator or equivalent experience • Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and Community Cloud
Preferred Qualifications • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning component frameworks, triggers, batch Apex and Salesforce APIs at a large organization • 6+ years of experience configuring Salesforce using workflows, validation rules, Lightning Flow, sales process setup, roles & profiles, reports and dashboards at a large organization • Master's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline • Experience with Salesforce Cloud platforms - Service, Sales, Marketing and App Exchange Products • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer or equivalent experience • Certified Salesforce Platform App Builder or equivalent experience
