DevOps Engineer
to support our growing team. The DevOps Engineer is highly technical team member supporting the Infrastructure, Production, and Compliance Support team within the Enabling Rail of a large-scale enterprise program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and sustaining DevSecOps pipelines, deployment automation, environment automation, and shared engineering services that enable multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to deliver secure, reliable, and auditable software at scale.
The DevOps Engineer will support a complex enterprise ecosystem spanning development, test, training, staging, and production environments, including operations in NIPRNET and SIPRNET contexts. The environment includes PeopleSoft-based enterprise applications, Oracle platforms, shared integration services, security tooling, test automation frameworks, and enterprise release processes. This position works closely with developers, testers, SREs, release managers, cybersecurity personnel, and product teams to improve delivery speed, deployment consistency, traceability, and quality while maintaining compliance with government's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines that support application build, test, security validation, artifact management, and deployment across multiple environments. Support the DevSecOps pipeline as a shared enterprise service for multiple ARTs, helping standardize delivery practices across the broader Solution Train. Automate build, packaging, deployment, configuration, and promotion processes to improve consistency, speed, auditability, and release quality. Integrate security scanning, policy gates, code quality checks, automated testing, and compliance controls into the software delivery lifecycle. Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC). Support source control, branching strategies, artifact repositories, configuration management, and version traceability across enterprise environments. Assist with environment provisioning, toolchain updates, patching, and ongoing sustainment of DevOps platforms and related services. Coordinate with cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to ensure delivery pipelines align with RMF, STIG, audit, and various security requirements. Collaborate with development, release management, cybersecurity, test automation, and platform teams to improve deployment reliability and reduce delivery bottlenecks. Monitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements. Enforce DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning and compliance checks into pipelines. Develop and maintain DevOps documentation including pipeline diagrams, runbooks, and architecture guides. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 3 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or a related technical role., 1 year of hands-one experience supporting DevSecOps pipelines, 1-year Unix/Solaris experience. Demonstrated expertise in: CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, containerization, cloud platforms, monitoring; experienced with UNIX/Solaris. Experience with pipeline automation, scripting, build/release processes, configuration management, and deployment support. Experience with version control systems, artifact promotion, and environment coordination across multiple lifecycle stages. Experience supporting release readiness, rollback planning, deployment evidence, and change-controlled production promotions. Familiarity with integrating security and quality controls into delivery pipelines. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work across development, testing, operations, release, and cybersecurity teams. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one. Desired Skills:
Certified DevOps Engineer Experience with Oracle-based enterprise applications, middleware, databases, or PeopleSoft environments. Experience with scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages. Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Splunk, ServiceNow, CAST, PHIRE, Stonebranch, Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle Data Guard, Kafka, or related enterprise platforms. Familiarity with infrastructure/configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent, where applicable to the client environment. Experience supporting deployment pipelines and engineering processes in multi-network or segregated environments, including NIPRNET/SIPRNET considerations. Experience implementing DevOps pipelines for DoD or federal agency programs. Exposure to OCI/cloud migration or hybrid enterprise modernization efforts is a plus Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack). Additional Information:
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one. Work Environment: Onsite/Hybrid/Remote as required by the contract. This is a full-time, W2 position. No agencies, third parties, or Corp-to-Corp submissions.
