Quality Community Health Center, a FQHC operated for over 40 years, provides service at 3 locations in Philadelphia, PA managing the health and wellness of patients from infants through senior citizens. We practice medicine as a partnership between us and our patients. Currently, we are seeking a permanent Dentist to provide support to health center operations for new and established patients. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the inner city and possess a commitment to working to meet the unique needs of the Philadelphia community.
*POSITION SUMMARY: *We are seeking an experienced Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to our patients. Your role will involve diagnosing, treating, and advising on various dental issues. You should possess a wide range of expertise in addressing teeth and gum problems, ranging from routine plaque removal to advanced procedures such as dental implant placement.
Your primary objective will be to promote and maintain good oral health among our patients. This will involve not only treating existing dental conditions but also educating individuals about preventive dental care practices. By encouraging regular check-ups and emphasizing proper oral hygiene routines, you will contribute to the long-term well-being of our patients.
To excel in this position, you should have a strong background in general dentistry and be skilled in performing various dental procedures. Your expertise should extend to areas such as dental prosthetics, endodontics, and periodontics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to establish a comfortable and trusting relationship with patients.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
* Provide basic, preventive, endodontic, restorative, periodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery services to all patients.
* Provide oral hygiene instructions and patient education to all patients.
* Provide 3,000 patient encounters minimum per year.
* Complete and maintain patient charts via Dentrix.
* Formulate and implement dental treatment plans for patients as documented in Dentrix.
* Write or dictate letters, summaries, referrals, etc. in Dentrix.
* Participate in the development of the annual dental health care plan.
* Work cooperatively with other professionals and paraprofessionals including dental auxiliary staff.
* Participate in the development and conducting of dental and community health projects as requested by the Dental Director or Executive Director.
* Participate in case conferences, chart audit system on an on-going basis.
* Participate on staff committees as requested.
* Participate in regular continuing dental education activities (20 credit hours per year.
* Be available for dental clinic day and evening hours as well as Saturdays and holidays according to rotation schedule.
* Provide emergency telephone coverage according to rotation schedule including weekends and holidays.
* Perform other related work as directed by Dental Coordinator.
* Maintain accurate logs and record keeping via computer database and/or manual.
* Act as a preceptor for Dental Students as assigned.
* Adhere to QCHC House Rules.
* Participates in the creation, development, and planning of special events, as directed.
* Actively participates as a member in at least one disparity collaborative.
*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*
* Knowledge of the general operations of a clinic or similar healthcare environment.
* Knowledge of customer service best practices.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Skiil in providing basic, preventive, endodontic, restorative, periodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery services to all patients.
* Skill in performing office administration related activities.
* Skill in enforcing rules and regulations in difficult situations and maintaining the confidentiality of patient records and organizational information.
* Skill in verbal and written communication and problem solving.
* Skill in being organized and maintaining cohesive records.
* Ability to provide basic, preventive, endodontic, restorative, periodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery services to all patients.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to ensure that all customer's needs are being met in a timely manner.
* Ability to understand medical insurance.
* Ability to demonstrate excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage and prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities.
* Ability to adhere to all time and attendance rules and requirements.
* Ability to comply with all QCHC rules and regulations.
*EDUCATION:*
* Graduated from Accredited Dental School.
* Licensed to practice Dentistry in Pennsylvania
* Unexpired DEA License
*EXPERIENCE*
* Experience as a licensed Dentist.
* One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office; specifically, Outlook and Word.
* One (1) year of experience using an EHS preferred.
* One (1) year of experience using Athena EHS preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
