About the Team: The Asset Data Platform team is responsible for Coinbase's comprehensive blockchain data. This vital platform plays a key role in our business operations. We develop systems to ingest and provide real-time asset and blockchain data to our customers. Every trade, chart, wallet balance, and DeFi position relies on our team's expertise in collecting, normalizing, and delivering asset metadata, real-time prices, and historical data at scale—empowering everything from Coinbase Exchange to Wallet and DEX. Your Responsibilities: Design and implement state-of-the-art crypto data systems that drive Coinbase forward. Engage with stakeholders across various teams involved in building Coinbase products or managing financial operations. Contribute to the strategy and execution plans of the Asset Data team. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise. Provide mentorship and training to team members on design techniques and coding standards. Write high-quality, well-tested code tailored to meet customer needs. What We Seek in You: 10+ years of experience in backend software engineering, particularly with Golang or similar languages. Proven experience in architecting and developing solutions to complex, high-impact problems. Strong technical expertise in building distributed systems capable of handling large-scale processing. Ability to lead complex initiatives that require cross-organizational collaboration and architectural alignment. Excellent communication skills, successfully interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A relentless drive to set ambitious goals and the perseverance to achieve them. A passion for contributing to an open financial system that unites the world. Nice to Haves: Experience with cryptocurrency. Background in both startup and large enterprise environments. Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range between $253,895 and $298,700 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and comprehensive benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
