CodeWave is looking for a Data Governance Consultant to design and operationalize enterprise governance frameworks for clients modernizing cloud and analytics platforms. This role works across business and technical teams to improve data trust, ownership, quality, and compliance.

• Define governance operating models, stewardship responsibilities, and decision rights.
  
• Guide our clients in preparing and excelling in their approach and adopting best practices for the rapidly evolving data regulations and technological changes.
  
• Establish enterprise data governance framework, including data policies, standards, and processes to help our clients achieve overall business needs.
  
• Create data policies for quality, classification, retention, privacy, and access control.
  
• Establish data quality KPIs, controls, monitoring routines, and issue remediation workflows.
  
• Partner with engineering teams to embed governance controls into data pipelines and platforms.
  
• Drive metadata, lineage, and business glossary practices to increase discoverability and trust.
  
• Facilitate governance councils and stakeholder workshops to align business and IT priorities.
  
• Support audits and regulatory readiness with documented governance evidence and controls.

• A Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD Degree.
  
• 5+ years of experience in data governance and data management.
  
• Hands‑on experience in data governance, data management, or data strategy consulting.
  
• Strong understanding of data quality, metadata, lineage, master/reference data, and risk controls.
  
• Ability to communicate technical information in non‑technical language.
  
• Knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR and ISO‑aligned controls).
  
• Ability to communicate clearly with executives, domain owners, analysts, and engineers.
  
• Experience with governance tooling or catalog platforms is an advantage.
