Finance Automation & Reporting Specialist (Contract)

Location: Cork

On behalf of my client, I am currently seeking a Finance Automation & Reporting Specialist to support and enhance core accounting and financial reporting processes while helping drive automation and innovation across the finance function.

This role is ideal for a technically curious finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, data, and emerging technologies such as AI.

• Manage and support core accounting processes including professional fee reporting and budgeting.
  
• Work with financial data structures to support accurate reporting and insights.
  
• Design and implement automation solutions for statutory and tax-related processes.
  
• Introduce and leverage AI tools to streamline finance workflows and reporting.
  
• Develop AI‑assisted workflows for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
  
• Support the development of internal tools and dashboards to improve finance operations.
  
• Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams on process improvements and automation initiatives.
  

• 
  
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
  
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
  
• Experience preparing or working with statutory financial statements.
  
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a curious, solution‑oriented approach.
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines. xcfaprz
  
• Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Tableau or Power BI for reporting and data visualisation
  
• Dataiku or similar data platforms
  
• Exposure to AI tools used for reporting, analysis, or documentation
  
• SQL or Python (beneficial but not essential)
  
• Experience building dashboards (e.g. Streamlit, Tableau, or similar)
