About this Role We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves engaging in various foundation construction projects focused on design-build delivery methods for electrical transmission and distribution. You'll collaborate closely with a diverse team of engineers and construction management professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality of the work performed, verifying adherence to project quality management plans, design documents, contracts, and all relevant state and local regulations. Our office is based in Spokane Valley, Washington, but this role primarily allows for remote work and will involve travel across the United States as needed. Hourly Pay: $30.00 - $36.50 based on experience. Daily per diem for meals will be provided for overnight travel. Travel accommodations, including lodging, will also be covered. What You'll Do Review and interpret project documents to clearly understand quality inspection and reporting requirements. Analyze available geologic and geotechnical data ahead of fieldwork to enhance project outcomes. Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including Operations management, Engineering, and Construction teams, ensuring effective communication and planning. Conduct technical tasks involving measurements and calculations, managing issues with minimal oversight. Create and maintain essential pre-construction planning documentation, which includes work plans, quality management plans, and project schedules. Inspect and track materials received at the job site. Carry out inspections to assess the quality of work and materials used. Develop and manage accurate quality documentation and materials management records. Independently audit quality records developed by construction personnel. Sample, characterize, and log geotechnical materials according to company protocols and standards. Guide construction teams on minimum foundation installation requirements as needed. Generate daily construction field reports to ensure accuracy and transparency in project execution. Sample and prepare grout and concrete specimens for testing. Install, operate, and troubleshoot geophysical testing equipment, reviewing results for adequacy. Perform administrative tasks diligently and accurately. What You'll Bring An undergraduate degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geological sciences, or construction management (considerable relatable experience may substitute). 0-2 years of experience in quality inspection or management, preferably in the construction sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking and planning abilities. A solid work ethic, with a team-oriented mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile. Physical capability to balance, kneel, crouch, and walk/hike through uneven terrain, occasionally at high altitudes. Ability to climb ladders and access working platforms 4 to 6 feet above ground. A valid United States driver's license is required. Must be willing to travel domestically (required) and internationally (preferred). Compensation Range:
