The QA Technician is responsible for upholding all corporate and plant-specific Food Safety, Quality, and Laboratory programs to ensure the production of safe, high-quality products. Reporting directly to the QA Manager, the QA Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by conducting testing, maintaining records, troubleshooting activities, and continuously improving food safety and quality systems within the facility. Detailed Description: Ensure all food safety and quality standards are consistently met throughout the facility. Assist in batching chemicals and ingredients for production. Calibrate lab and in-line equipment to ensure accurate analytical results. Collect in-process and finished product samples. Conduct standardized qualitative and quantitative tests to ensure products meet specified standards; perform aseptic sampling and testing to detect microbiological organisms. Follow established Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to document all quality and laboratory test results. Identify deficiencies or deviations and initiate appropriate follow-up actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve non-conformances and quality deficiencies. Review food safety and quality records for accuracy and completeness. Actively participate in facility-based teams (Safety, Food Safety, Food Quality, etc.) Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Work Experience/KSA's: Required: 24 years of experience in food processing, manufacturing, or quality. Experience may include a combination of hands-on work and relevant education. Preferred: 57 years of experience in food processing with emphasis on quality assurance. Competencies: Must read, write and communicate in English. Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day or night). Strict adherence to GMP requirements, including wearing company-issued PPE (shirt, safety glasses, earplugs, and hairnet) in production areas. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to obtain HACCP, PCQI, SQF Practitioner Training, and IBWA certifications within one year of hire. Ability to perform root cause analysis. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Able to receive, analyze and report information efficiently. Knowledge and application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and GDPs. Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
