Yamaha Motor Finance - US has an exciting opportunity for a strong Risk & Analytics Manager. This position will be primarily responsible for leading Strategic Analysis activities in the Analytics Center of Excellence for YMFUS. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to analyzing portfolio decisions, analyzing loss performance factors, developing operations strategy and supporting CRM analytics. This role will manage a team of up to 5 analysts and provide analytical support to formulate YMFUS' Credit Risk and Business Strategies and other business initiatives. The areas of focus include originations, portfolio management strategy/criteria design, vintage analysis, portfolio segmentation, operations strategy, demographic analysis, and modeling to optimize portfolio performance.
What you'll be doing:
Manage a team of up to 5 risk and reporting analyst to provide analytical and reporting support to all YMFUS departments - Risk, Accounting, Operations, Compliance, Sales and Marketing, Wholesale and Commercial Finance Lead key business initiatives like strategy design and adjustments. Perform quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, and monitoring of the company's entire Finance business Apply highly technical and innovative ideas to solve business problems --- Query and database knowledge to evaluate and develop management strategies. Use of Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies to analyze business performance Develop, implement and monitor YMFUS' s credit and servicing reports for all departments Monitor and assess the post-implementation impact of risk management and other business strategies on YMFUS' business results. Conduct comprehensive analyses to assess levels of credit risk- including summarizing results with opinions and recommendations for actions. Create and maintain methods of tracking, forecasting, presenting, and managing portfolio performance; coordinating and implementing financing programs and policies. Ensure efficient operations with vendors, dealers, and internal sales groups. Present business cases, results of the analyses to Senior Management Liaison with, and maintain relationship with, other department on Strategic initiatives like Scorecard, Decision Engine, System Conversion, etc. Meet with internal and external customers to establish requirements. Evaluate the adequacy of internal processes and reduce all forms of exposure ranging from credit risk, efficiency/cost and regulatory impact. Ad hoc reporting. What you'll need:
4-year Bachelor ' s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, Finance or other related field Minimum 7 to 10 years of working experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role Experience in Auto, Motorcycle, or other consumer lending Strong presentation skills and ability to present data to Senior Management Strong interpersonal and planning skills, and ability to interact seamlessly with all levels of management (internal and external). High attention to detail Preferences:
Master' s degree in Computer Science or Statistics SQL and SAS Proven experience in offering thought leadership to solve business problems Experience in Credit Card origination risk and portfolio management area Analytical and strategic thinking Experience working in a fast-paced start up work environment
