ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installs, configures, and maintains operating systems and system management tools. Supports networked devices, user access, and system integrations with business-critical applications. Develops and maintains documentation and procedures for backups, system recovery, system tuning, and configuration management. Performs routine and ad hoc backups and conducts quarterly data integrity and recovery tests. Leads or assists in planning and implementing enterprise system upgrades and infrastructure projects. Installs and tests operating system updates, patches, and application software releases in test and production environments. Monitors system performance and tunes resources for optimal reliability and responsiveness. Ensures 24/7 uptime for mission-critical systems supporting operational continuity. Maintains documentation of security configurations, user groups, access rights, and system changes. Cross-trains team members on system administration tasks and troubleshooting techniques. Participates in the administration of both Windows-based and enterprise infrastructure systems. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to support the success of IT operations. Collaborate with internal teams and customers to understand application requirements and translate them into technical solutions Configure, deploy, and support application software for end-users or clients Develop and maintain documentation, including specifications, technical guides, and FAQs Customize and integrate applications through scripting, APIs, or middleware Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions or workarounds Participate in the testing, validation, and implementation of new features or updates Provide product training or demonstrations for customers and internal stakeholders Contribute to the continuous improvement of application deployment and support processes Collaborate with the Vendors and Morongo teams to recommend feature enhancements based on user feedback Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Configure, deploy, maintain, and support enterprise application software across production and test environments. Install, configure, and maintain system software, operating systems, and management tools. Support integrations between business-critical applications and backend systems. Implement and maintain system backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies; conduct routine data integrity and recovery testing. Monitor system performance and availability; tune systems for optimal reliability and responsiveness. Lead or assist in system upgrades, patches, and software release implementations. Troubleshoot application and system-related issues; resolve or escalate as needed. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, FAQs, and user guides. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to gather requirements, provide training, and suggest application enhancements based on feedback. Participate in cross-training, peer knowledge sharing, and team onboarding efforts. Ensure security best practices, access controls, and configuration standards are applied across supported platforms. Support both Windows-based environments and enterprise application infrastructure. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. In lieu of a degree, candidates with equivalent professional experience in Applications Engineer will be considered. Relevant certifications in systems administration, virtualization, networking, or security preferred (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, Cisco). Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT systems administration. Proven ability to install, configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise server and storage systems. Strong knowledge of system security, backup and disaster recovery procedures, performance tuning, and patch management. 2-5 years of experience in an applications engineering, support, or systems integration role. Experience supporting hybrid IT environments with integration across multiple platforms and business systems. Prior experience in a casino, resort, or enterprise-level environment is preferred. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must successfully complete a background check and obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.

Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

Occasionally moves throughout office areas, labs, and server or equipment rooms to collaborate with teams, inspect configurations, or test hardware and software environments. Stationary Work:
Frequently remains seated for extended periods while developing software solutions, reviewing system architecture, troubleshooting issues, or participating in virtual meetings. Tool Operation:
Regular use of computers, software development environments, testing tools, debugging instruments, and standard office equipment; must be proficient in using diagnostic and project management systems. Visual Acuity:
Requires close vision to analyze code, review technical schematics, monitor data on screens, and interpret application performance metrics with accuracy. Working Conditions:
Primarily works in an office or lab setting with controlled environmental conditions; may occasionally be exposed to elevated noise levels or a smoking environment when working near or within casino or operations areas depending on project requirements.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
