Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
  • Plan and deliver well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on the progress and achievements of your pupils.
  • Adapt teaching methods to inspire and motivate students.
  • Prepare learners for external tests and support their journey through KS3/KS4.
What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
  • Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with pupils and a good grasp of child protection practices.
  • Good ICT skills to enhance learning.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, term-time only position with a salary range of £28,000 - £39,520 . The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check, which will be covered by Polaris Community.
