SEN Class Teacher

Located in the heart of Andover, Hampshire, our school provides a safe and supportive environment for up to 60 pupils aged 5 to 18 years. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered. As a SEN Class Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in facilitating engaging learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with other school staff to ensure all needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with your pupils, driving interaction and fostering positive learning outcomes.

To thrive in this role, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) .
• Have a strong educational background at degree level.
• Bring previous successful teaching experience, particularly with pupils with SEMH needs.
• Possess experience in behavior management techniques.
• Be committed to your professional development and eager to learn.
• Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

This is a full-time, term-time only position, requiring 37.5 hours per week. The projected start date is September 2026 .
