Salary: Up to £39,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract Term: 12 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover

The Role

We are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to fostering. In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with foster parents to promote meaningful supervision of placements.
  • Work alongside foster parents as professional colleagues within a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for foster parents.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise foster parents while promoting the welfare of children.
Requirements
  • Hold a Social Work England qualification or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering and a comprehensive knowledge of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, and participate in an Out of Hours rota.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload for effective supervision.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in meetings and decision-making.
  • Hold a full driving licence and have unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
  • Be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Orange Grove).
