Are you a dynamic and inspirational leader looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We invite you to become a part of our dedicated team at Bayview, located in the beautiful Capernwray, Carnforth. Here, you’ll work in a family-oriented environment, supporting a maximum of four young residents aged 8-18 who face social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
About the RoleAs a Residential Home Team Leader , you will play a crucial role in guiding our young residents towards success while ensuring a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. You will assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, contributing to the continuous improvement of our already 'Outstanding' rated service.
Your Responsibilities- Support the leadership and management of daily operations to enhance the lives of our young residents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans that meet pre-agreed standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Registered Manager about important issues and developments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where children feel they belong.
- Manage staff effectively, ensuring fair treatment and adherence to company policies.
- Participate in menu planning and ensure food quality meets our standards.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills in childcare.
- A full UK driving license.
- Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People.
- A passion for supporting young people and a commitment to our ethos.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. You will be responsible to the Registered Manager and may need to deputize in their absence.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary starting at £27,803.20 , with the potential to earn up to £34,523.20 through sleep-in shifts. Additional benefits include:
- Up to £6,720 in sleep-in payments (average of 6-8 shifts per month at £70 each).
