About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker in Southampton, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering personalized care packages tailored to the unique needs of each child and young adult. Your role will involve:

  • Working flexible shifts, including sleep-ins, on a rotating schedule.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with our young people.
  • Promoting their welfare and safeguarding their well-being.
  • Encouraging the development of individual interests and skills.
  • Collaborating effectively with your team and accepting guidance.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
  • Flexibility to work 7 x 24-hour shifts, including sleep-ins.
  • A willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with the goal of upgrading to Level 4.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A commitment to learning and personal development.
  • A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (which we will cover).
  • Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder or Youth Work is a plus!
