We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in New York City, New York. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and managing inventory adjustments. Your expertise will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and a proven track record in inventory management. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams to ensure data integrity.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the training of new team members on inventory procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a warehouse setting is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
