We are seeking a highly experienced and influential
Lead Data Scientist
to drive experimentation & complex analytics initiatives and shape the direction of experimentation and decision science work across the team. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead end-to-end experimentation and decision science projects, partner closely with stakeholders, and mentor junior members to elevate analytical quality. You will leverage expertise across statistical analyses, experimentation, machine learning, and big data to deliver insights and solutions that directly impact business results.
Essential Functions: Demonstrates clear understanding and ensures alignment of growth projects meet the organizations vision, objectives, scale and scope of projects, expected outcomes, business value and impact, timelines, roadmaps, and resource level requirements. Lead and deliver high-impact decision science projects, providing structure, methodology, and clear analytical direction. Conduct experimentation and advanced analytics, including statistical & causal analyses, A/B testing, regression modeling, and machine learning. Design and guide experimentation strategies, ensuring rigorous methodology and accurate interpretation. Advice on sample sizing, finding treatment & controls locations, creating matched controls using Python/R, running statistical tests and regression modeling, etc. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define problem statements, manage expectations, and communicate outcomes with clarity and influence. Provide thought leadership on analytical approaches, modeling techniques, experimentation strategy, and data science best practices. Mentor and support junior data scientists and analysts through peer review, technical coaching, and project guidance. Build reproducible analytical workflows using Python/PySpark, R, and SQL. Translate complex technical findings into business-focused insights and strategic recommendations. Uphold high standards for analytical rigor, coding quality, and documentation. Minimum Job Qualifications:
Master's degree
in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with 6-8 years of experience; or
bachelor's degree
with 8-10 years of experience in experimentation (mandatory), and data science or advanced analytics. Statistical and inferential analyses (advanced/expert level knowledge) A/B testing and experimentation (advanced/expert level knowledge) SME on sample sizing, market selection, creating matched controls using tools like R or Python Regression and predictive modeling Machine learning methods (supervised and unsupervised) Big data analysis (e.g., distributed computing, PySpark) Proven experience leading and delivering experimentation and decision science projects end-to-end, including scoping, execution, stakeholder engagement, and presenting results. Proficiency in Python/PySpark, R, and SQL. Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytical work to strategic and operational outcomes. Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior partners and simplify complex concepts. Ability to mentor and guide team members, improving overall analytical capability. Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications:

Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. Strong understanding of agile process and ability to actively practice agile methods. Ability to lead and manage multiple projects at once. Ability to facilitate and lead meetings and presentations. Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation based on position, education and experience. Bi-weekly paid. Base salary range: $138-160k/yr This position is eligible for our Support Central bonus program which is based on annual achievement of company performance. Health and Wellness Benefits:
