You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying package contents, and maintaining shipping records. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of Shipping procedures are key to success in this position. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure all shipments are processed efficiently and meet carrier requirements. We are looking for organized individuals with a commitment to workplace Safety. This role may involve occasional Lifting of packages. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, manifests, etc.).
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Verify shipment contents against order details.
- Apply shipping labels and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding shipment status.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic Lifting of packages.
- Knowledge of Shipping regulations and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and the use of PPE.
