Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Kansas City, Missouri location. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to our inventory management and logistics processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or excess inventory.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow.
  • Train and guide other staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:
This role is primarily based in an office environment with regular time spent in the warehouse. While physical demands are lower than in other warehouse roles, occasional lifting may be required. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of PPE when in operational areas of the warehouse are mandatory. This is a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations.
