Are you detail-oriented and organized? Our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma facility needs a diligent Receiving Clerk to manage our inbound goods. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately recorded, inspected, and processed efficiently, contributing significantly to our overall inventory management and logistics flow.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming products for any damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities accurately in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received items for proper storage and tracking.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control measures and periodic stock checks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and inventory management software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions:
This role operates within a warehouse environment. Regular physical activity, including lifting, is required. Safety is our top priority; therefore, consistent use of mandated PPE is essential. This is a key position within our receiving and logistics operations.
