We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk for our bustling New York City facility. In this vital role, you will be the orchestrator of our outgoing shipments, ensuring that all products leave our warehouse on time and in perfect condition. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding rigorous Safety standards. As a Shipping Clerk, you will manage shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, and operate shipping software to track packages. Your contribution is essential to the smooth functioning of our Logistics network, connecting our products with customers nationwide. We provide a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional growth within the warehousing industry. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liawith carriers, team members, and supervisors. You will be responsible for verifying shipping information, preparing bills of lading, and ensuring all shipments comply with carrier regulations. Daily tasks include scanning outgoing packages, sorting shipments by destination, and staging them for carrier pickup. The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines is key. Consistent use of required PPE is mandatory. This role involves regular Lifting of packages and may require operating pallet jacks. Join our team and play a key role in our Logistics success!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping addresses and order details.
- Generate shipping labels and bills of lading.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and secured.
- Communicate with internal teams and external carriers regarding shipment status.
- Adhere strictly to Safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Utilize required PPE for all assigned tasks.
