We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying shipping information, preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping areas. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will play a crucial part in the overall supply chain operations, ensuring that our products reach their destinations on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and accurately record all shipment details.
- Prepare bills of lading, shipping orders, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of all outgoing goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping department.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred. Familiarity with shipping software is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be reliable and possess strong organizational skills. Understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols is essential.
