Our large-scale logistics hub in Fort Worth, Texas, is looking for skilled Reach Truck Operators to join our team. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will play a pivotal role in managing our extensive inventory, utilizing your expertise to operate specialized equipment for optimal storage and retrieval. Your responsibilities will include moving palletized goods, organizing warehouse racking, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory placement. This role requires a high level of proficiency in operating reach trucks, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to conduct daily equipment inspections and meticulously follow all safety protocols, including the correct use of provided PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform thorough pre-shift inspections of the reach truck and related equipment, documenting any defects.
- Accurately place inventory into designated racking locations and retrieve items for order fulfillment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper placement and cycle counting participation.
- Ensure all operations comply with warehouse safety standards, company policies, and federal regulations.
- Utilize all required PPE correctly and consistently throughout the shift.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trailers, ensuring secure transit.
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse supervisors and fellow team members to meet operational targets.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, contributing to overall warehouse organization.
- Support the broader logistics operations through diligent and safe performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating a reach truck in a high-volume warehouse.
- Certification or licensing as a forklift/reach truck operator.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Exceptional spatial reasoning and precision maneuvering skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and using PPE.
