Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a new opportunity in Grand Rapids, Michigan? We are hiring a skilled individual to operate our reach trucks and other material handling equipment within our warehouse. This role is central to our logistics operations, requiring proficiency in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must adhere to strict guidelines. You'll be instrumental in maintaining the efficient flow of inventory and ensuring accurate stock placement. This position demands focus, precision, and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. We provide a safe working environment and expect all team members to contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Accurately place received goods into appropriate storage locations.
- Pick orders efficiently and accurately using a reach truck.
- Perform pre-operation checks on equipment and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed.
- Follow all logistics protocols to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification for Reach Truck operation.
- Proven experience operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work shifts and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.
