Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident of the United States We are seeking a Software / Solutions Engineer who can lead from both technical and strategic angles. You must be someone who can pick up new domains quickly, learn where you have gaps, and fill them with confidence. You will be building greenfield systems, managing infrastructure, leading a team, ensuring compliance, working with AI, ERP, cloud, etc. You will also act as a program manager, mentor, and bridge between engineering and business. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and grow a team of engineers: assign tasks, coach, close knowledge gaps, foster continuous learning. Take ownership of project management: define scope, schedule, deliverables, ensure projects stay on track. Develop architecture and technical strategy: across ERP, cloud, AI/ML, data, security, DevOps. Custom development: ERP integrations, internal tools, APIs, automation workflows. Infrastructure & DevOps: deploy/manage Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud environments (AWS & Azure), VDI, identity systems (AD / Azure AD). Database administration: performance tuning, backups, disaster recovery, reliability. AI/ML: build and customize models, work with RAG, embeddings, predictive analytics. Security & Compliance: ensure systems, infrastructure, processes meet standards (CMMC, ITAR, etc.), work with external auditors or consultants. Stakeholder Communication: explain technical trade-offs simply, work directly with executives, operations, etc. Required Traits / Skills Strong proficiency in one or more OOP languages (Python, Java, C#, etc.) Solid system admin knowledge (Linux, Windows) + experience with identity & access systems (AD, Azure AD, VDI) Cloud experience in AWS and Azure DBA experience with relational and possibly NoSQL or modern data stores Familiar with open-source tooling, monitoring, infrastructure as code, etc. Experience in AI/ML pipelines, RAG, and related model work Strong DevOps / Kubernetes / CI/CD experience Deep understanding of security, compliance frameworks (CMMC, ITAR, etc.) Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in areas where previous experience may be limited Comfortable being outside your comfort zone and driving toward mastery in new domains Growth mindset; ability to mentor others in learning Additional / Preferred Skills Prior experience in producing reliable VDI environments or managing virtual desktop infrastructure Experience with cloud security tooling, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting at scale History of turning proof-of-concepts into production Experience with manufacturing, operations, ERP-specific workflows, BI/KPI systems Success Metrics & Initial Goals (First 90-180 Days) Identify key knowledge gaps (both personally & within team), make learning plan and start ticking off improvements Deliver 2-3 major integrations or infrastructure milestones (ERP, AI, or cloud projects) Set up secure, compliant cloud & identity infrastructure (AWS & Azure, AD / Azure AD) Build or define architecture & standards documentation; set best practices for coding, security, CI/CD Improve team's velocity and reduce blockers; demonstrate mentorship & growth among team members Equal Opportunity Employer Tampa Brass & Aluminum Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
