Job Summary Become an essential member of the AEO Application Engineering team and drive the success of aeroderivative gas turbine sales across diverse sectors including marine, power, and oil & gas globally. In this impactful role, you'll create key technical documents, analyze competitive gas turbine offerings, support innovative sales initiatives, and perform comprehensive technical evaluations focused on performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. This role may require up to 10% travel, both domestic and international. Key Responsibilities: Deliver expert technical insights and develop cutting-edge technical solutions during the pre-ITO phase, collaborating closely with the sales team to maximize opportunities.
Understand market trends and customer economic values to craft strategic bid proposals, including precise technical assessments, product definition, scheduling, and cost evaluations in alignment with contractual requirements.
Calculate key performance and efficiency metrics for plants and equipment.
Develop meticulous technical specifications and cost projections for contract execution, customizing solutions to fulfill specific client needs.
Leverage your expertise to steer strategic initiatives, manage resources effectively, and contribute to policy development.
Analyze business challenges and propose best practices to enhance products, processes, and services.
Stay informed on industry developments that may influence your work.
Apply advanced judgment to resolve complex operational and engineering challenges.
Review the quality of information received and engage stakeholders with thought-provoking inquiries.
Propose innovative solutions that transcend existing parameters, backed by thorough recommendations.
Utilize diverse resources to enable informed decision-making.
Possibly lead functional teams or projects requiring minimal resource involvement and low risk.
Effectively communicate complex concepts and encourage others to consider different viewpoints.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering or Product Management.
U.S. citizenship status is required for this position.
Desired Qualifications: Strong expertise in performance, controls, combustion, fuel systems, or systems engineering.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Proven ability to analyze and resolve intricate problems.
Demonstrated success in leading programs or projects to completion.
Experience in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs effectively.
Well-established project management capabilities.
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000, based on experience, education, and skills, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
