Responsibilities The Quality Assurance associate is responsible for assisting the Director/Manager of Patient Access in managing the quality assurance activities within patient access. Acts as a liaison between the staff and the Manager and/or the Director of Patient Access. The Quality Assurance associate will provide consistent, relevant feedback to staff regarding patient registration accuracy and quality benchmarks through root cause analysis of registration related denials. This position interacts with revenue cycle and staff, external contacts, patients and customers regarding patient access processes which relate to the quality assurance within Patient Access, policies and procedures.
Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Must have two (2) years of experience in a medical office or hospital registration/admitting including experience in insurance verification and/or medical/hospital billing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent critical thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective partnering relationships with staff, revenue cycle personnel and management at the facility.
Working knowledge of insurance payment methodologies.
Computer literacy and familiarity with the operation of basic office equipment.
