In this critical role within our OCI Business Operations Tooling development team, you will be essential to driving operational excellence and contributing to the cloud landscape at Oracle. Establish and promote standards and best practices while closely collaborating with senior leadership to showcase your expertise.
Engage in exciting AI and cloud-native projects, working within a results-oriented team environment.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to transform research code into production-ready services and repeatable processes.
Configure and maintain essential cloud resources within OCI, including IAM policies, VCNs, access rules, logging, and monitoring.
Design, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines for R and Python applications using OCI DevOps, Git-based workflows, and Artifact Registry.
Containerize applications with tools like Docker or Build Service to ensure consistent deployment methodologies.
Set up and manage static web hosting with OCI Object Storage, CDN, and DNS configurations.
Bring hands-on cloud experience, ideally with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure; familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is also appreciated.
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex data pipelines and platforms from requirements gathering to final delivery.
Architect, build, and enhance large-scale, reliable, and secure data workflows on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure utilizing services like OCI Data Flow, Data Integration, and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Work with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to develop scalable and efficient solutions.
Drive the evaluation and integration of new Oracle cloud-native technologies to facilitate continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with Oracle's security, privacy, and data management protocols while systematically identifying risks.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and high standards.
Prepare and present technical proposals and optimization recommendations to technical and business leadership.
Translate business objectives into actionable solutions.
Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing to elevate technical understanding across the organization.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of data engineering experience with a solid track record of designing and delivering large-scale data platforms in cloud environments.
Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Autonomous Data Warehouse, Oracle Database, and data integration tools.
Extensive experience in data modeling, warehousing, ETL/ELT design patterns, and developing production-grade data solutions using Oracle products.
Comprehensive understanding of data security, privacy, and best practices for regulated industries.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven history of cross-team collaboration.
Experience in mentoring or advocating best practices within data engineering.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing migration projects or building new data platforms on OCI.
Knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Machine Learning, and DevOps practices tailored for data workflows.
Professional Oracle certifications in cloud data management or related fields.
Note: Certain U.S. customer or client-facing roles may require compliance with relevant immunization and occupational health mandates. This position offers a competitive salary range from $96,800 to $223,400 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
