The RoleWe are on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic and committed to the fostering community. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with foster parents to promote meaningful supervision of placements.
- Providing quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents while promoting the welfare of children.
To thrive in this demanding position, you should have:
- A full driving licence and be a confident driver, ready to travel across the North West.
- Experience working with foster parents as professional colleagues.
- Excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Hold a Social Work England qualification in Social Work or equivalent, and be registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
- Outstanding communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
This role may require occasional work after 5:00 PM and on weekends, as well as participation in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
