POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Located in the heart of the new Solar district in Brossard, Jazz Brossard is delighted to welcome a wonderful clientele, both independent and those experiencing a loss of autonomy. A warm and friendly atmosphere prevails, where we all feel right at home.
We are currently seeking an empathetic Personal Support Worker who is dedicated to the well-being of our residents.
The Resident Attendant ensures the comfort, well-being, safety, and general needs of residents by providing hygiene and comfort care.
Permanent part-time position, 28 hours per week, variable schedule, and one weekend out of two.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to standards and regulations in accordance with private seniors' home certification and employer policies
• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
• Proactively assist and support the residents
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
• PDSB training
• Good team player
• Good sense of interpersonal communication
• Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
• 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
• PAB training recognized by the Ministry of Education
• Skill 6
