Mechanical Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects across the Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, and Food & Beverage sectors.

As a Senior Mechanical Estimator / QS, you will be responsible for the commercial and financial management of mechanical projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

• Prepare detailed tenders and quotations from drawings and specifications
  
• Conduct quantity take-offs and develop pricing documents
  
• Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers
  
• Procure materials in line with tender requirements
  
• Manage client accounts including interim valuations and final accounts
  
• Process payment certificates and ensure timely payments
  
• Evaluate tenders against construction progress and variations
  
• Track project costs and labour throughout the lifecycle
  
• Identify and report commercial risks
  
• Contribute to project scheduling and liaise with clients
  

• 
  
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Mechanical Engineering
  
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mechanical contracting or estimating
  
• Proven track record in medium to large-scale xcfaprz mechanical projects
  
• Strong understanding of contract conditions and claims preparation
  
• Skilled in project measurement and financial management
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
