We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and storage of goods within our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. This role is vital to our supply chain operations, ensuring that products reach their destinations smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain optimal workflow and inventory control. Attention to detail is paramount in this position, as is adherence to all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move pallets and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and record-keeping as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations and logistics .
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety at all times.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
